It's been awhile;
I just really haven't been in the writing mood lately. I've started writing something about 6000 times and I always stop because I'm bored. My week has been VERY unevenful, unless you count helping Tay kill a GIANT cockroach. Seriously, that fucker was huge.
Last night Z had a music program (ahh the days of thinking you could actually sing because your delirious music teacher told you that you had a voice like an angel.) I'm pretty sure he didn't know the words to any of the songs, but he was still cute. They sang "It's a small world" & Z got to wave a Canadian flag, which he thought made him a bad ass. I've never noticed it, but he is really small compared to other 3rd graders. They stuck him in the middle & I couldn't see him most of the time because the girl in front of him had the biggest head I've ever seen.
A strange man just knocked on my door and asked me if I was happy with my paper towel supplier..? Yes, me and Wal-mart have a secret pact. I can never buy paper towels from anyone else. Even if there's a fire.
Here's to estranged music teachers & paper towel salesman. I have laundry to do.
xoxo, Raven

It goes on;
It seems like even though it's only Tuesday, this week has been a bad one for a lot of people I love. One of my best friends just found out some unsettling medical news, a good family friend's dad is days away from dying, and I'm feeling slightly guilty because my week has been great so far. *not to say that my friend/family friend is making me feel guilty, I'm just emotional like that I guess.
I have a job interview on Friday at a portrait studio. It's not as much creative freedom as I would like, but it's something I love doing. If I do end up with this job, I haven't decided whether I'm going to stay at my current job. I work at a party supply store and graduation season is the busiest. I love my boss and some of the people I work with, but at the same time it's a dead end job. I don't get paid nearly enough for what I put up with on a daily basis and I honestly don't think my anxiety can handle anymore of the teenage drama bitch fights that go on. (most of the people that work there are high school girls...you do the math)
I guess I have some thinking to do.

Little brother;
You're a ninja.
You make a great "serious face"
You're such a badass...
...and at the same time the sweetest thing ever.
You're full of laughter.
You're the coolest kid around.
You make fun of models, and end up being really cute doing it.
Your smile can brighten up a room, even if it's fake like this one.

Very first;
I've never really thought of myself as a fashionable person. I wear what I like. If someone doesn't like it, who gives a shit?! My favorite thing to wear is a pretty dress with leggings, a cardi, and flats. BOOM. comfort city.
If that's not your thing, good for you! Wear what YOU want. Don't worry about someone telling you "that is soooo fall of 2001" (in my mind Gretchen Wieners was saying that)
This is what I wore a few days ago;
I hate that it's an awkward mirror picture, but I don't have a fancy tripod (I wish) or someone who would want to take pictures of my outfit. I can hear Cam now..."You want me to take pictures...of your clothes...?"
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this dress. I don't usually do strapless because I hate doing the boobie shuffle. That sounds awk. I hate having to pull it up constantly so my boobs don't say hello to the world. Still awk, but better.
As you can see, I like color. I'm not one to dress in all black (though I do sometimes). Because I'm so pale, I can pull off brightly obnoxious colors. Yayy for one of the very very few perks to being fair skinned.
Also, yayy for my first outfit post. It probably won't become a regular thing..mostly just because I'll forget to take a picture of what I was wearing.

Cheesecake;
Who wants to make me a cheesecake?! Cherry or strawberry please.
I can't get enough. I'm addicted. I love this tiny fat cat (that made no sense and I love it so much I don't even care.)
Speaking of fat cat, here's Lucy. She's not at all happy I'm taking her picture...but if she doesn't like it she should stop being so damn cute.

This is Pigglesworth. He was $3 in the clearance isle at Wal-mart. Totally worth it. When you squeeze him, he makes an actual pig noise. He's technically for a dog, but Taylor and I have joint custody of him.
Also from Wal-mart, a $1 chalk board with "Bitches aint shit" written on it. It's like poetry right?
This is Justin. Cam and I's really good friend. I'm not sure why he wanted me to take a picture of him being a "scared little fairy", but I did, and here it is.
and voila! You have my past week in a nutshell.

Traveling;
So, I've only been to 4 states. In my entire life. Sad right? My mom was never much of a traveler when I was younger. We would mostly go to amusement parks and zoos. Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. I'm not really sure if Illinois or Indiana count, because I was born in Illinois, and I've lived in Indiana for about 7 years.
I want to travel something fierce. I can't even name all of the places I want to visit. I really just want to hop in the car and drive until I run out of gas/money. (which at this point wouldn't get me very far because I have $15 in my bank account)
I think the places I want to visit the most (in the USA) is the north east region. I want to go to New York, Massachusetts, Maine, and even Rhode Island.
I hope someday I can.

Do want;
I want an owl.
Don't ask me why I decided to watch a video about petting an owl. It's been a long morning.

Happy Birthday To You;
{via We heart it}
Tomorrow is a swell guy's birthday. (haha, swell) Cam will be 22 tomorrow! He thinks he's having a midlife crisis. He keeps walking around saying "oh my god, 22, I can't believe I'm going to be 22". It's actually quite hilarious.
I'm going shopping tomorrow to get him way too many things that he doesn't need, but that's okay because he deserves it.
I love you, Mr. Jones. (he always gets a kick out of it when I call him Mr. Jones :p)
Happy birthday.

Yummy yummy in my tummy;
I love cooking and baking. I don't ever share any of my recipes and it's probably because it's all just basic things. My favorite food ever is cheese ravioli, but I buy frozen ravioli and canned sauce because I'm far too lazy to actually make it myself.
Everything I make is easy though (and effing delicious). I'm sure most people can enjoy an easy dinner, so here it goes, sharing my first recipe. (look at me acting like it's a big deal :p)
Skillet Lasagna;
1 lb ground sausage (I use Jimmy Dean)
16oz box/bag of Penne noodles, or any noodles you prefer but Penne is the easiest to work with.
1 Can or Jar tomato sauce (I use Hunt's traditional)
a dash of Italian seasoning
1 bag of finely shredded mozzarella cheese
Step 1; Preheat oven to 400. Start boiling a big ol' pot of water, and add your noodles when it's boiling. I cook the noodles first because they take forever.
Step 2; Brown the sausage with a dash of Italian seasoning. Also, start heating up your sauce

Step 3; When everything is all nice and cooked, drain your pasta and place it back in the pot. Then, drain your sausage.
Step 4; Start layering your ingredients; Pasta, sauce, cheese, sausage, sauce, cheese, repeat. Make sure you're layering in an oven safe dish.
Step 5; Place the finished layered product into 400 degree oven for about 5 minutes or until cheese is all nicely melted.
Happy eating!

Things I'm lovin';
Nicepeter, if you've never heard of him get out of my life. Just kidding, but seriously he's hilarious.
This idea from Pinterest. I started doing it, but I burnt my finger with the hot glue gun.
These I have no words for, they're just awesome.
That's about it, so far anyways.

Art;
I bought some artsy things today. A sketch pad, some pretty new paints, and brushes.
I'm by no means artistically talented. I make drawings a five year old would be ashamed to claim. I do love to do artsy things though. I think if I did it enough I could get semi decent.
I remember when I was younger, my best friend and I used to draw and create things for hours. Anything we could get our hands on. We used styrofoam once or twice, lots of pipe cleaners and Pompoms, and of course crayons.
We would "camp" in her backyard and draw by flashlight. It was always hilarious when we woke up the next morning to see what we had drawn.
I miss those days.
Here's a picture of my picture. :P

Zip Zippity Do Bop;
Don't you love Bill Cosby? I want his ugly sweaters.
I've been feeling SO uninspired lately. Just kind of blahh and unmotivated in general.
Cam's mom (who is a 'photographer') asked me to help her edit her pictures. She told me she's in over her head and needs any sort of help she can get. The way she says it makes me feel like she thinks I'm not good enough, but I'm the best she can get. On top of that, she said she doesn't want to give me any credit for my work...she says she doesn't want her customers to get angry because someone else edited their pictures.
I give up on her, basically.

I swear the only thing I ever take pictures of anymore are my cats. They're so cute I can't resist.

Thinking;
I'm thinking about selling Mary Kay. I'm just not sold on it yet. I do love their products, but I'm not so sure if I could actually sell it. What do you think? Would you buy from me? :P

Pinterest;
I finally made this adorable heart banner I found on Pinterest. The walls in Cam and I's bedroom are so bare. White on white on white. It's awful. I love color, and bright happy things. We haven't actually decided how were going to decorate, knowing us it'll just be a hodgepodge of things that make no sense.
This is so beyond simple. Here is the original pin.

This is not a drive by;
^ new Train song, I'm obsessed^
This week has been a week of stress, realizations, and laziness. Let's start with the stress, shall we.
On Saturday, Taylor and I threw a surprise birthday party for her dad's 50th. Never, never, again will I EVER throw a surprise party.
We were hiding all of the decorations at Tay's house, but her mom had some of the decor she bought and the booze. (because what's a 50th birthday without booze?!) Her mom was hiding all of the stuff in their basement bathroom, which mind you, no one EVER goes into....except Taylor's dad apparently.
He was supposedly looking for a tax form which is in the basement...but the shower!?! He ended up finding all the booze and supplies, but Tay's mom saved it. She pulled the guilt trip, saying that his daughters were working so hard on this party. She said it was going to be a surprise superbowl party which made Jeff (the nosy one) think the party was Sunday. All in all it was still a surprise.
Now onto the realizations. I'm fat. Don't argue with me WHOEVER you are. DO NOT. I am fat and I need to get healthy, not skinny, just healthy. Though skinny would be a plus. I'm tired of sitting on my butt complaining about how I want to be healthy and how I want to feel good about myself. I'm doing something about it.
Too be honest, I'm not 100% sure if I'm going to go on any specific diet or not. I've started walking everyday, and I'm trying to eat healthier. I may go on a specific diet to start me off, but I don't always want to be stressing over if I should eat that or counting endless amounts of carbs.
Say buh-bye belly, thigh, and arm fat. And say hello to healthy and feeling great.
Laziness is basically just me lounging with Jack and Lucy, because I'm a crazy cat lady.
Don't you judge me.
Also, creepy fog.
Indeed.
xoxo, Raven
