The new year is almost here! Holy shit it does not feel like 2012 yet. I'm going to be 20 in less than a month and that makes me feel like I'm 50. I know it doesn't make sense, it's just me being neurotic.
I made a playlist of songs that have been gracing my iPhone for the past week. Enjoy your new years weekend, and be safe!

Make-Ovah;
Make-ovah, I needs one. I have been attempting to figure out how to design a blog page. It's going about as well as a 90 year old woman trying to lift a 2 ton car. Therefore, I must call in reinforcements! If you or anyone you know will design a blog for me, please, let me know! I should warn you though, I'm broke and if it's going to cost a ton of money I'm not interested. I understand people need to make money for their work, but I've seen some of the prices people put on blog designs and holy shit I would much rather buy clothes. I don't need anything too fancy, just something that looks nice and I'm not going to want to change in a week.
Yesterday was a "lets not get out of our pajamas and read all day" kinda day. It was fantastic. I bought 4 books on my Nook for $1.99. Seeing as how they were that cheap I wasn't expecting much from them, but hot damn they surprised me. They're trashy vampire mystery books, and I love them. A girl needs a trashy novel (or 4) every now and again.
Happy readings and have a great day!

Instagram;
I got an Iphone for Christmas! I've been going a liiiitle crazy with the Instagram app. I love it because it's way easier to snap a picture with your phone than going and getting your camera.
* Chloe
* Lucy being held like a baby
* Lucy posing
Zane and Cam playing the lego board game I got Z for Christmas. Don't you love Z's star wars jammies?!
Today I had lunch with my friend, Shelby. We haven't seen each other since Truc's funeral, so it was nice to catch up and reminisce.
Santa put this pretty nail polish in my stocking! Can we say "spaaaaarklyyyyy!"
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! Also, here is another link up with E.

Wannabe House;
Okay, so, I don't have the money to decorate my house like I want. Basically, my sources are Goodwill and hand-me-downs. I window shop all the time, which probably isn't healthy. I figured, Hey I'm psycho, why not share my psychoness with others.
Anything Shabby Chic, but this is my favorite pattern. It's way too girly for Cam, but a girl can dream.
Floating shelves & desks. I love the modern look of these. Mixing modern/traditional things is my favorite style.
I also love this shelf and hanging...thingy. The color is perfecto.
These knobs! I die. Is it weird to swoon over knobs?
What are some of your favorite styles or pieces of furniture?

Finishing Touches;
4 days and counting! I've been busy finishing up Christmas prezzies for everyone and i'm 90% done! The only thing I have left is to make these:
Brownies in a jar! I'm giving cookie cutters and oven mitts with them too. It's a simple recipe, I got mine here.
This is right before my family's Christmas party we had on Saturday, my hair looked good so I took a picture :P

my week;
Has been full of insanity. Well, my life is filled with insanity. Christmas is in one week and I still haven't gotten Cam anything, oopsie. I don't get paid again until the 23rd so we'll see how crazy the stores are on that night ;). I work at a party supply store, and we have cards for reaaal cheap (like 49 cents cheap). We also have a senior day, which means if I work on Wednesdays my life is one of the seven levels of hell. You would not believe (or maybe you would if there's a senior day where you work) the amount of old people who bitch constantly about the prices of cards(or the prices of everything in general). Those old bastards aren't getting much cheaper than that, but they could care less. I hope I die before all I have to do in my life is bitch at people about cards. As I mentioned, We have a new puppy! Chloe is energetic as hell and sweet as candy. We have another black lab, Biggie (named after Biggie Smalls), and he's about 4 or 5 years old. Chloe gives him a run for his money. The first day we had her she wore Biggie out so much he slept for like 10 hours. (which in my opinion is a lot of sleep for a dog) I hope you all have a happy holiday! So does Snoop Dog!

New family member;

Lazy day;
I've been sick for the past two days so yesterday I gave myself a much needed Lazy Day. The laundry was piled to the roof, but I decided a day of cuddling with my babies, browsing through Etsy and Pintrest, and watching Netflix for 3000 hours straight was a much better idea. Cam and I have been hooked on That 70's Show ever since it came out on Netflix. It's like crack.
Here are my babies yesterday on our lazy day;
Lucy wanting to go outside to chase the birds. (ignore my toes that need a pedicure ;P)
Waiting for food!
Jack, not happy at all about the flash in his face.

p.s. Sorry about the crap quality of the pictures. The lighting was bad and I was using my ancient Polaroid.

Christmas wish list;
Christmas is in 23 days, holy cheesecake. I've got everyone's xmas prezzies but Cam's. (There's so much I want to get him I don't know where to start!) I've been surfing around Etsy finding what I want & the list is five miles long. I've narrowed it down a bit to share with you!
01. This gorgeous ring!
02. I LOOOVE this retro pink clock!
03. This print. (my favorite quote)
04. This adorable Iviemade pillow cover.

Thanksgiving;
Thanksgiving this year was a pretty good time. Around noon today, Cam and I headed over to his grandparents house. I didn't eat much there, I was holding out for my fam's food. After we left there we had to go buy catfood because we realized we were out and we can't have hungry kitties on thanksgiving! The looks we got for buying 4 cans of catfood on Thanksgiving were pretty hilarious.
We got to my cousin Sherry's house around 4 and the omnoming began.
Cucumber sandwiches are the best appetizers EVER.
After omnoming it was picture/hanging out time!

I'm Thankful For...
A million things. I'm not a religious person, so I'm not thanking God/any sort of god. (side note; if you're religious, good for you! I'm happy for you, if you take offense to the fact that I'm NOT religious kindly shove it and move on.) I'm just thanking life in general.
I'm thankful for my wonderful family and friends. They mean the world to me and life would be a lot less easy without them.
I'm thankful for my cats. I'm not a crazy cat lady I promise ;) Jack & Lucy are always there when I need a cuddle.
I'm thankful for my wonderful boyfriend. He's a pretty great guy and I couldn't have asked for more.
I'm thankful that I get coffee every morning. If I don't I'm a mega bitch and I wouldn't have friends, family, or that wonderful boyfriend to be thankful for.
I'm thankful for this little blog. Having a creative outlet has been nice.
I'm thankful for all of the good things in the world that give people hope. Cheesy, yes. True, indeed.
Have a great Thanksgiving everyone. I'm going to eat the hell out of some pumpkin pie and cucumber sandwiches(these things are better than turkey or ham).

Time;
Don't you hate how pressed for time we always are? It's always "There's not enough time", "This takes too long", and "I don't have time for that". Why can't we just live in the now, and not worry about how much time this and that takes?
I want to do so many things in my life, but I never feel like I have enough time. I want to go to school, but I don't just want to go for one thing. I find myself arguing with myself over what I'm going to school for. (that didn't sound skitzo at all) Why can't I just do it all?
Remember when we were little and we wanted to grow up so bad? Why the hell did we EVER want to do that?!? If I could go back to when I was six prancing around in my Little Mermaid footie pajamas you can bet your sweet ass I would. Time didn't matter then, all that mattered was what my barbies were going to wear or what powerranger I was going to be that day.
I hope when I have kids someday, that they never want to grow up. I wish all kids could just stay so innocent and naive for their whole lives. I know it sounds absolutely ridiculous...BUT it would be nice.
I realize this post was kind of jumping around everywhere, but it was kind of a rant. oops.

Snow;
It snowed for the first time today! To be honest, I hate snow. It's cold, it makes everything look dirty, and it's cold. The only reason snow makes me happy is because that means the holidays are on their way!
I can't express how much I love the holidays. Something about being around my psychotically overbearing family makes me all giddy. Okay, kidding about the overbearing part...sorta.
I don't mean to sound cliche, but I love opening presents on Christmas morning with a nice big cup of hot cocoa. There's nothing I love more than the expression on people's face when they get what they've been wanting for a long time.
Alright, so this post was kind of cheesy, but aren't the holidays supposed to be cheesy?

Reading finds;
Okay so, this reading kick I've been on has got me reading lots of new books. The 1st time I went to the library with full intentions on getting something I've never read before. I ended up with 3 books, all of which I've already read. Multiple times.
On the 2nd trip though, I got two books. Deadly Little Secrets and Deadly Little Lies, both by Laurie Stolarz. These are two books in the Touch series...I believe there is only one more...but don't quote me.
I read both of these books in 3 days, I couldn't put them down. They are mystery/suspense/romance.
If you're looking for a new read I'd recommend these. They're pretty short books, 250-300 pages, so even if you don't have a lot of time these are great. Happy reading!

H-ween.
This Halloween was very uneventful. very. I took Zane trick-or-treating, but we live in a pretty new subdivision...so almost NO ONE was handing out candy. We walked around the entire neighborhood, got candy from every single house that had their light on, and we were back home in a half hour.
Zane is the strangest child i've ever met. When we got home he didn't rip his bag open and start omnoming on all of his candy, no. He wanted to sort his candy out, count how much he had, and write a list. Apparently he's seen me blogging and he "wants to keep a journal like me and doesn't ever want to forget anything." Love that kid.

p.s. Oh and the question for new books still stands...I went to the library and got 3 books...all of which I've already read. ;)

Movin' on up;
Yes, like The Jeffersons, I'm movin' on up. . . kinda. I'm out of my tiny little town and into a bigger city. Cam and I are staying with my mom for a few months so we can get back on our feet.
While I'm here, I need to read. I've been in such a mood lately where I want to read EVERYTHING. I've even been stealing my little brothers kiddy books and reading them. All of my books are in storage & I could dig them out, but I really want something new to read, something I've never read before. If you know of ANYTHING good to read, pretty please with sugar on top, TELL ME!!
