Yes, like The Jeffersons, I'm movin' on up. . . kinda. I'm out of my tiny little town and into a bigger city. Cam and I are staying with my mom for a few months so we can get back on our feet.
While I'm here, I need to read. I've been in such a mood lately where I want to read EVERYTHING. I've even been stealing my little brothers kiddy books and reading them. All of my books are in storage & I could dig them out, but I really want something new to read, something I've never read before. If you know of ANYTHING good to read, pretty please with sugar on top, TELL ME!!
xoxo, Raven

Hey! I found your blog through your comment on Molly's blog (addicting, right?) and I could not help but comment on this. I can't get enough of books--have you read the ever-popular Hunger Games series? It's a must. I am also a huge fan of anything by Jennifer Weiner (as far as chick-lit goes), and I just got into the Allie Condie books (YA sci-fi but addicting). I can't really do Vampires, so I skipped Twilight, but I love Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter to a fault, so I would recommend that. I can provides oodles of more recommendations if you want! I am constantly strapped to a book or my Kindle.
ReplyDeleteI just started reading her blog & I can't get enough!
ReplyDeleteI've read the Hunger Games (just the 1st book I couldn't really get into it), I'm going to have to read some Jennifer Weiner, I had a friend who suggested her.
I've read all of the Twilight Saga (which is almost embarassing to admit :P)
I would love more suggestions, I read all the time, but I can never figure out what new things I want. I've read all the books I have at least 50000 times.
OK, if you were not into Hunger Games then you may want to hold off on the Allie Condie books. As much as I don't like when people put links to their blogs in the comment section, I am going to do it anyways because I post about my reading obsession fairly often. I have a "must read" page in the works that I have not yet published, but here are some posts: http://www.mcmadness.com/search/label/read%20this%20now (if that does not work, the "read this now" tag on my blog is where they can be found)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'll go check it out, I smell a trip to the library in the next few days.
ReplyDeleteGosh, ladies, you are both making me blush!
ReplyDeleteRaven- I am so glad you found me! Thank you for your kind words. I am a big time book lover, so here's a short list of my faves...
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Betty Smith
The Glass Castle, Jeannette Walls
Peace Like a River, Leif Enger
A Piece of Cake, Cupcake Brown
