Thanksgiving;

Thanksgiving this year was a pretty good time. Around noon today, Cam and I headed over to his grandparents house. I didn't eat much there, I was holding out for my fam's food. After we left there we had to go buy catfood because we realized we were out and we can't have hungry kitties on thanksgiving! The looks we got for buying 4 cans of catfood on Thanksgiving were pretty hilarious.
We got to my cousin Sherry's house around 4 and the omnoming began.

Cucumber sandwiches are the best appetizers EVER.

After omnoming it was picture/hanging out time!

My cousin Carter and I.

My daddy

My beautiful mommy attacking Sherry's kitty.

Zane being adorbz.

The two gorgeous women in my life; My mommy and my Aunt Misty.

My family is so wonderful and I'm thankful for every single one of them.

I'm Thankful For...

A million things. I'm not a religious person, so I'm not thanking God/any sort of god. (side note; if you're religious, good for you! I'm happy for you, if you take offense to the fact that I'm NOT religious kindly shove it and move on.) I'm just thanking life in general.
I'm thankful for my wonderful family and friends. They mean the world to me and life would be a lot less easy without them.
I'm thankful for my cats. I'm not a crazy cat lady I promise ;) Jack & Lucy are always there when I need a cuddle.
I'm thankful for my wonderful boyfriend. He's a pretty great guy and I couldn't have asked for more.
I'm thankful that I get coffee every morning. If I don't I'm a mega bitch and I wouldn't have friends, family, or that wonderful boyfriend to be thankful for.
I'm thankful for this little blog. Having a creative outlet has been nice.
I'm thankful for all of the good things in the world that give people hope. Cheesy, yes. True, indeed.

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone. I'm going to eat the hell out of some pumpkin pie and cucumber sandwiches(these things are better than turkey or ham).

Time;

Don't you hate how pressed for time we always are? It's always "There's not enough time", "This takes too long", and "I don't have time for that". Why can't we just live in the now, and not worry about how much time this and that takes?
I want to do so many things in my life, but I never feel like I have enough time. I want to go to school, but I don't just want to go for one thing. I find myself arguing with myself over what I'm going to school for. (that didn't sound skitzo at all) Why can't I just do it all?
Remember when we were little and we wanted to grow up so bad? Why the hell did we EVER want to do that?!? If I could go back to when I was six prancing around in my Little Mermaid footie pajamas you can bet your sweet ass I would. Time didn't matter then, all that mattered was what my barbies were going to wear or what powerranger I was going to be that day.
I hope when I have kids someday, that they never want to grow up. I wish all kids could just stay so innocent and naive for their whole lives. I know it sounds absolutely ridiculous...BUT it would be nice.
I realize this post was kind of jumping around everywhere, but it was kind of a rant. oops.

Snow;

It snowed for the first time today! To be honest, I hate snow. It's cold, it makes everything look dirty, and it's cold. The only reason snow makes me happy is because that means the holidays are on their way!
I can't express how much I love the holidays. Something about being around my psychotically overbearing family makes me all giddy. Okay, kidding about the overbearing part...sorta.
I don't mean to sound cliche, but I love opening presents on Christmas morning with a nice big cup of hot cocoa. There's nothing I love more than the expression on people's face when they get what they've been wanting for a long time.

Alright, so this post was kind of cheesy, but aren't the holidays supposed to be cheesy?

Reading finds;

Okay so, this reading kick I've been on has got me reading lots of new books. The 1st time I went to the library with full intentions on getting something I've never read before. I ended up with 3 books, all of which I've already read. Multiple times.
On the 2nd trip though, I got two books. Deadly Little Secrets and Deadly Little Lies, both by Laurie Stolarz. These are two books in the Touch series...I believe there is only one more...but don't quote me.

I read both of these books in 3 days, I couldn't put them down. They are mystery/suspense/romance.

If you're looking for a new read I'd recommend these. They're pretty short books, 250-300 pages, so even if you don't have a lot of time these are great. Happy reading!

H-ween.

This Halloween was very uneventful. very. I took Zane trick-or-treating, but we live in a pretty new subdivision...so almost NO ONE was handing out candy. We walked around the entire neighborhood, got candy from every single house that had their light on, and we were back home in a half hour.

Zane is the strangest child i've ever met. When we got home he didn't rip his bag open and start omnoming on all of his candy, no. He wanted to sort his candy out, count how much he had, and write a list. Apparently he's seen me blogging and he "wants to keep a journal like me and doesn't ever want to forget anything." Love that kid.

p.s. Oh and the question for new books still stands...I went to the library and got 3 books...all of which I've already read. ;)
